Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data is particularly important to us. Your data are processed by us on the basis of the legal provisions (General Data Protection Regulation No 2016/679 – hereinafter “GDPR” as well as the national data protection regulations).
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art 4 No 7 GDPR is the operator of this website according to the information in the imprint (in this privacy policy also referred to as “we”, “us”). There you will also find all necessary contact details for asserting your rights (section 6.).
2. Personal data
We only process those personal data that you provide to us (by visiting our website or through the information you provide in a contact form or a newsletter registration), for example: first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth/age, gender, bank details (e.g. credit card number, account number), IP address; whereby not in every case all of the stated types of data are affected or have to be provided. Special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art 9 GDPR are not processed by us in the context of this website.
3. Processing of personal data
The processing of your personal data is primarily carried out for the performance of a contract or the implementation of pre-contractual measures (Art 6 para 1 lit b GDPR), as we cannot prepare, conclude or fulfil a contract with you without these data. Furthermore, the processing is carried out to protect our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties (Art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR), in particular for purposes of the operational security of the website, debt collection, direct marketing in analogue and digital form, existing customer acquisition, statistical evaluation as well as the improvement of our service offering and its quality (for the right of revocation see section 6.).
We will only process your personal data to the extent covered by the GDPR. A transfer of your personal data to third parties generally does not take place. If – for example for contract fulfilment – a transfer to third parties should be required, this transfer will be made in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR. In this case, we ask you to also observe the privacy policies of these third parties, as they may apply. Excluded from this are uses for statistical and similar purposes; however, no personal data but only anonymized data will be transmitted for this purpose, which do not allow identification of a natural person and cannot be attributed to a specific natural person (see also sections 8, 9, 10).
Data collection. Enabling and execution of the guest's booking; carrying out the guest's stay; tailoring the stay to the guest's wishes and interests; possibility to offer services in the future that match the guest's interests; marketing in connection with hotel services and improvement of the hotel's services
4. Data security
The protection of your personal data is ensured by organizational and technical measures, such as protection against unauthorized access and technical data security precautions.
Please note, however, that despite these efforts it cannot be completely ruled out that data you disclose via the Internet may still be viewed and potentially used by others. We therefore cannot accept any liability or responsibility for errors in data transmission or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g. hacker attacks, spyware, malware etc.).
5. Retention of personal data
Your personal data will only be kept by us as long as this is necessary for the fulfilment of contractual or legal obligations (corresponding retention obligations may arise, for example, in particular from tax law provisions or from provisions on product liability). If this necessity no longer exists, the data will be deleted.
6. Right of access, erasure, complaint
Subject to any statutory confidentiality obligations that may exist you have the right at any time to obtain information about your stored personal data, their origin, the purpose of processing and, if applicable, the recipient of these data. Furthermore, you have the right to request the correction, transfer, restriction of processing, blocking or deletion of your personal data if they are incorrect or the basis for the data processing no longer applies. You also have the option to object to the processing of your personal data based on Art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR (“protection of legitimate interests”).
We ask you to direct all of these claims to one of the contact options named in the imprint or to a contact person.
We point out that any objection may have no influence on the lawfulness of the processing of personal data based on other legal grounds under Art 6 GDPR.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law or that your data protection claims have otherwise been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (pursuant to Art 77 GDPR).
7. Use of cookies
In order to design the website according to your needs and to collect certain information, we use various technologies, including so-called cookies. Cookies are used to simplify Internet use and communication.
Cookies are small text files that our website sends to your browser and that are stored on your computer to save them there as an anonymous identifier. These cookies serve, for example, to better manage the connection during your visit to our website and to provide more effective support when you return to our website. Without this temporary "buffering" some inputs already made would have to be entered again in certain applications. A cookie contains only the data that a server issues and/or the user enters on request (e.g. structure: information about domain, path, expiration date, cookie name and value). Cookies therefore contain purely technical information, not personal data. Cookies also cannot spy on the user's hard drive, cause damage or the like.
The following types of cookies may be used:
- Session Cookies: These are automatically deleted when the web browser is closed.
- Persistent Cookies: These remain stored on your computer for a certain period of time; the duration depends on the stored expiration date.
- Third Party Cookies: These can in particular also include cookies from various social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr etc.) or other internet service providers (such as Google). These cookies collect information such as dwell time, page views, movement via links etc. They are used, for example, to display certain advertising content that results from search histories, visited websites and the like. These cookies cannot be read by us.
If you wish, you can generally suppress the storage of cookies (or certain types of cookies) via your web browser or decide whether you want storage to be allowed only after receiving a prompt. Not accepting cookies may, however, result in some pages not being displayed correctly or functionality being limited.
8. Analytics tools
The website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the platform. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is normally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If IP anonymization is activated on the website/platform, however, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website/platform, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser to Google as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by an appropriate setting of your browser software; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the site (including your IP address) from being transmitted to Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at this link.
Google offers an option to prevent data collection by Google Analytics. Please visit the relevant Google web page for this purpose.
9. Facebook plugins
This website uses Facebook social plugins provided by Facebook Inc. (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA; "Facebook"). The integrations are identifiable by the Facebook logo or by the terms "Like", "Share", etc. in Facebook colours (blue and white). The plugins are activated only when you click on the respective buttons. You have the option to activate the plugins once or permanently. The plugins establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook servers. We have no influence on the nature and scope of the data that the plugin transmits to Facebook's servers. The plugin informs Facebook that you have visited this website as a user. It is possible that your IP address will be stored in this context. If you are logged into your Facebook account while visiting this website, the aforementioned information will be linked to it. If you use the functions of the plugin – for example by sharing a post or clicking the "Like" button – the corresponding information will also be transmitted to Facebook and may be linked to your Facebook account. You can only prevent this by logging out before using the plugin. Further information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, on your related rights and options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook's privacy notices.
10. Other web tools
This website may also use other web tools from Google (for example "Google AdWords", "Google AdSense", "Google AdExchange" or "Google DoubleClick for Publishers"); regarding whether and to what extent these tools are used specifically, we will be happy to provide information and ask you to contact us with any questions via one of the contact options given in the website imprint. We do not process any personal data of yours when using these tools; if any data processing occurs, it is by Google itself – please therefore consult the applicable Google privacy notices for further details on the use of your personal data.
11. Newsletter
You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter via the website. This is of course voluntary and can be canceled at any time. For inclusion in our newsletter database we require your email address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter. Once you have registered for this newsletter, you will receive an email message with a link to confirm the registration ("double opt-in"). You can cancel receipt of the newsletter at any time; please use one of the contact options given in the website imprint or click the unsubscribe link contained in every issue of the newsletter.
12. Right to amend
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy if necessary, for example to reflect legal developments in the area of data protection. The adjusted/changed data protection provisions shall then apply to the future use of our website. We therefore recommend that you consult these from time to time.
